USD 505 Chetopa - St. Paul BOE Members

Method of Election

Member DISTRICT 1  will consist of all USD 505 voting members who live in the City of Chetopa, who reside south of Main/Maple; all voting members who live outside the City of Chetopa and who reside south of Highway 166; and all members in Cherokee County.

Member DISTRICT 2 will consist of all USD 505 voting members who live in the City of Chetopa, who reside north of Main/Maple; and all voting members who live outside the City of Chetopa and who reside north of  Highway 166.

Member DISTRICT 3 will consist of all USD 505 voting members who live in the USD 505 territory located in Neosho and Crawford counties (St. Paul city and the surrounding area).

At-Large will consist of all USD 505 voting members who live anywhere within the USD 505 territory.

Voting Plan

Voting Plan B: The plan would require electors within their respective districts to determine who should be placed on the ballot should there be a need for a primary election. If there is a need for a primary for the At-Large position, all eligible voters within the district shall vote to determine who should be placed on the ballot. Once district representative candidates are placed on the ballot, all eligible voters from the entire school district may vote for board members for each precinct and the at-large position.
