For more than a 175 years, education has been a priority in St. Paul. The first settlement  on these grounds, even prior to statehood, was for the purpose of educating the original inhabitants at the Osage Mission, founded by the Jesuits and the Sisters of Loretto. That  long tradition still lives in our current schools, thanks to a community that supports hard work and high expectations.

From the frame buildings that once adorned this landscape, to the stone and masonry
buildings, to the newly erected high school, student growth and development of life skills  has always been a priority. We are blessed to have strong traditional families that care  about this growth and support students and their educational opportunities. It is our goal  to provide a positive environment that offers every student the opportunity to receive the  best education possible, PK-12, making positive decisions in life-long and leadership  roles in society. As a small school, we are able to put students in leadership roles and  monitor individual student growth, while offering a high quality curriculum delivered by  a dedicated, professional staff.

St. Paul schools have been recognized by the Kansas State Department of Education for several standard of excellence awards at various grade levels and can boast about State and National qualifiers in career and technical education competitions. We continue to strive for excellence for all students.

St. Paul is centrally located between Pittsburg, Parsons, and Chanute in southeast Kansas, with the Neosho River nearby. It is a thriving town and community with much to offer. St. Paul is known to fill the bleachers and gymnasiums to watch athletic contests, music programs, annual Veterans Day performances, or other extra-curricular activities. St. Paul is very proud of their new state of the art high school, gymnasium, locker rooms, media center, six new classrooms that includes a science lab, music room, art room, and two FEMA approved tornado shelters. All classrooms are equipped with high-speed internet, SmartBoards, one-to-one technology devices for every high school student, and support for technology.

We encourage everyone to visit the school and attend activities and events throughout the year. We have a dedicated professional staff committed to student growth, achievement, and excellence in educating all students. Join us in this proud tradition of educational excellence.
